Last Saturday, Mishawaka High School’s parking lot was filled with many spooks, cars, costumes, and especially, treats. It’s that time of the year where the frightening fun season comes into play, and that can only mean one thing: Mishawaka Education Foundation’s first annual Trunk-Or-Treat.
The event was held on Saturday, October 2nd from 5:30-7:30 at MHS. Any student who has a sibling in elementary school can bring them while also having fun at the event themselves. While recently talking to McCartney, she announced some pretty shocking news since the plan was for them to cater for the trunk-or-treat:
“We’re not doing it. The leader of MEF called us and asked if we could pull out of the deal so Hacienda could do a deal instead.”
This year is the first time MHS has held this event. COVID-19 protocols will still be in place for the safety of the patrons, students and sponsors. The event will have games, dinner from food trucks, and, of course, candy. Additionally there will be an auction event to win prizes. Come out next Saturday to have a spooky good time. Dinner will be $20 for adults & $7 for kids.
